Description

Pioneer Woman Slow Cooker Brisket is a dish where beef brisket is seasoned with a blend of spices and slow-cooked until tender and juicy. The slow cooking process allows the flavors to meld together, creating a savory and satisfying dish that’s perfect for serving with your favorite sides.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 45 pounds beef brisket
  • 1 large onion, sliced
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 cup barbecue sauce
  • 1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the brisket: Trim excess fat from the brisket if desired. Pat the brisket dry with paper towels.
  2. Season the brisket: In a small bowl, mix together paprika, smoked paprika, black pepper, salt, onion powder, garlic powder, and cayenne pepper. Rub the spice mixture all over the brisket.
  3. Prepare the slow cooker: Place the sliced onion and minced garlic in the bottom of the slow cooker.
  4. Add the brisket: Place the seasoned brisket on top of the onions and garlic.
  5. Mix the liquids: In a medium bowl, combine beef broth, barbecue sauce, Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, and brown sugar. Pour the mixture over the brisket.
  6. Cook the brisket: Cover and cook on low for 7-8 hours, or until the brisket is tender and easily shredded with a fork.
  7. Rest and slice: Once cooked, remove the brisket from the slow cooker and let it rest for about 10 minutes. Slice the brisket against the grain.
  8. Serve: Serve the brisket with the onions and sauce from the slow cooker. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired.
