Description
Pioneer Woman Hamburger Gravy is a hearty, savory sauce made from ground beef, onions, and a creamy gravy base. It’s often served over mashed potatoes, biscuits, or rice, providing a warm and comforting meal that’s both easy to make and delicious.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound of ground beef
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup of all-purpose flour
- 2 cups of beef broth
- 1 cup of milk
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons of Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon of olive oil (optional, for sautéing)
- Fresh parsley, chopped (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Brown the beef: In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain any excess fat.
- Sauté the onions and garlic: Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet and cook until softened.
- Add the flour: Sprinkle the flour over the beef mixture and stir well to combine. Cook for about 2 minutes to eliminate the raw flour taste.
- Pour in the broth: Gradually add the beef broth, stirring constantly to avoid lumps.
- Stir in the milk: Add the milk and continue to stir until the gravy thickens.
- Season and simmer: Season with salt, pepper, and Worcestershire sauce. Let the gravy simmer for about 5 minutes to blend the flavors.
- Serve: Garnish with fresh parsley if desired, and serve over your favorite side dish.
